We Offset Our Website’s Emissions
Every year a website releases several kilograms of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. When a website is used, data is transferred to and processed in remote servers. The electricity consumed by these servers and by our computers accounts for 2% of the world’s air pollution, as much as the airline industry!
We use the Tree-Nation ‘Net Zero Website smart label’ – this automatically compensates for all the CO2 emissions generated by our website, by tracking the website usage and calculating its related emissions, then planting the trees needed to offset these emissions.
Events
Every year we highlight important campaigns such as Earth Day and Great Big Green Week, as well as holding special educational events for local families. At our free Go Green week in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council allowed the community to see different idea to be greener and also offer workshop.
