School children take over The Mall Maidstone!

Young visitors took over The Mall last week, as school children from Sandling School took charge of the shopping centre for one day only.

On Tuesday 27^th September, 30 children from the Sandling School visited as part of the National Children’s Commissioner Takeover Day.

During the day, the young visitors, met staff from The Mall, shadowed their duties, discovered behind the scenes day-to-day tasks and toured the shopping centre.

The day also included a creative challenge, asking the students how they would see The Mall in 100 years.

Suzie Brindle, Marketing Manager at The Mall Maidstone, said: “It was a pleasure to have pupils from the Sandling School join us at The Mall Maidstone last week. The children really seemed to enjoy their time with us, especially the behind the scene tours.”
