MBC & The Mall launch The Maidstone Christmas Family Appeal

Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is working in partnership with The Mall Maidstone running a Christmas appeal collecting donated festive gifts, decorations, toys and food items for those who may not otherwise be able to afford to celebrate this year.
With the rising cost of living many more people are finding it difficult to pay their utility bills, cover the cost of their normal food shopping and don’t have any money left over to spend on festive extras. To help, the Council and The Mall are asking everyone who can, to help spread some joy this year and donate to the Maidstone Christmas Family Appeal. Based on the upper level in The Mall, next to the children’s soft play area, the Maidstone Christmas Family Appeal (MCFA) is open to receive donations of
- New children’s toys (we’re sorry but we are not able to take used or second hand items)
- Festive gifts
- Christmas decorations
- Non-perishable food items
The MCFA donation hub, (staffed by volunteers), will be open from Monday 13 November to Saturday 16 December in The Mall between 10.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. The hub will also be open for anyone who would like to pop in for a warm welcome, hot drink and a biscuit during opening hours.
All donations made to The Appeal will be shared between local charitable organisations who will then distribute the gifts to those who need them most.
