Our Gardens

Did you know that The Mall Wood Green is home to two rooftop gardens? Despite its name, Wood Green is rather lacking in greenery, so when the centre team had the opportunity to work with Grow N22, a local CIC specialising in urban greening projects across Haringey, to create some micro gardens, they jumped at the chance.

The Mall’s rooftop gardens connect into a flourishing ecosystem including the Library Garden and Duckett’s Common, creating a ‘green corridor’ along the High Road for birds, bees and insects to enjoy.

The Peaceful Green gardens were named by Year 2 Sapphire Class of Devonshire Hill Primary School as part of a competition run by The Mall. The inventive class won £200 towards an environmental project of its choice and is planning to build a wildlife pond full of frogs, fish and newts.

Living Wall

The Mall’s Guest Lounge is home to a living green wall, featuring different types of native mosses and plants designed to improve air quality and reduce noise pollution.
