Welcome to the Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre
The Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is bringing diagnostic tests into the heart of Haringey.
What services does the CDC offer?
The CDC offers blood tests, x-ray, ultrasound and an ophthalmology (eye) clinic.
Who runs the CDC?
Whittington Health NHS Trust run the Wood Green CDC, with our staff behind the front desks and providing the clinical services. The ophthalmology (eye) clinic is run by colleagues from The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust.
Who can have an appointment at the CDC?
GPs will refer people who need an appointment at the CDC. The CDC is only for adults at the moment.
How can I get an appointment?
For blood tests, ultrasound and x-rays your GP will be able to book you an appointment. Your hospital doctor can refer you for the ophthalmology (eye clinic).
Can I walk-in?
We can only see people who have been referred by their GP for a test, please speak to your GP if you think you need one.
How will I get my results?
Your results will be sent back to your GP or hospital doctor who referred you.
Why is it in a shopping centre?
We want to make it easier for people to attend their healthcare appointments. Previously Haringey residents had to travel further for diagnostic tests than other residents in Barnet, Camden Enfield and Islington. Wood Green is in the middle of the borough and The Mall is easy to get to for most people.
What hours will the CDC be open?
Once the centre is fully up and running, the opening hours will be:
Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm
