Father’s Day isn’t far away and if you’re struggling to think of something special to buy for your dad or the father figure in your life this year, then help is at hand. We know that every dad is different, so we’ve put together a list of fabulous Father’s Day suggestions to suit every budget. And what’s more, you won’t need to go any further than The Mall to get them all.
Sports-mad dad
If your father is footie-obsessed, head down to JD Sports where you’ll get all the latest gear. If your funds won’t stretch to the latest football shirt, then how about a pair of sports socks or some on-trend Crocs (they’re great for gardening too)? Or if your dad is a fitness freak then go for a new water bottle, training aid, running top or cap. There’s something for every budget here. And if you’re thinking of clubbing together with your siblings and getting something BIG this year, then go for gold with a gym membership. The Gym Group and new arrival, Pure Gym have got some seriously good offers at the moment.
Meal and a movie
If your dad is a movie buff, then a trip to Cineworld is a must. We’re big fans of experiential gifts and what better way to treat your dad than by doing something together. The new Despicable Me movie is out soon, and we love the Minion gift boxes for two. Why not make a night of it and have a meal at The Bridge first? There are so many cuisines to choose from, it won’t be difficult to find food that you both love.

Hands up whose dad could use a wardrobe reboot? Now, while we know that Rome wasn’t built in a day, Father’s Day is a good place to start. Hype, H&M, Choice, River Island and TK Maxx all have an amazing range of summer tees, shirts and accessories. Primark has some pretty cool seasonal PJs too! Not sure what style to buy? Take dad on a shopping spree and choose something together.
Green-fingered gift
June is a great time of year for gardening-themed gifts so if your dad (or grandad) is green-fingered and will spend hours outside or in the potting shed, then our new B&M store should be your first stop. Does your dad like to wind down with a glass or two of wine? It may not be the most original gift, but a bottle of wine will never go unappreciated. Lidl has a fantastic selection of wines (there are beers and spirits too if wine isn’t his tipple) as does B&M and you don’t have to spend a fortune to get a really nice bottle. Or why not push the boat out and get some Father’s Day fizz to toast his special day – he’s definitely worth it!!
Cake craving
Is your dad famous for his sweet tooth? Does he crave cake? If you’re looking for a deliciously lovely present that will go perfectly with his mid-afternoon cuppa, then J’adore Cakes is the place to go. As well as boxes of cupcakes and macarons they do delectable brownies, blondies and slices of cake. And if you fancy pushing the boat out and inviting the whole family over, then go for a celebration cake that everyone can share. Fragrant finds
As Father’s Day gifts go, if you want to stick with the classics, then we’d recommend following your nose. Whether your dad is running out of his signature scent or fancies a new fragrance, both The Fragrance Shop and The Perfume Shop have some fantastic deals this month – and of course members get an even bigger discount so if you’re thinking of signing up, now would be a good time. Or if you’re looking for a scent that’s a little different, pay a visit to Sunnamusk. They’ve got some gorgeous Eau de Parfums and perfume oils – Wood de Amber and Arabian Nights are two of our faves.
