Meet the Market Hall Community

If you like your treats ready to eat, our Market Hall is the place to be. Whether you’re in the mood for an indulgent lunch, a robust breakfast, a healthy salad or a bit of spice, we’ve got a unique mix of cuisines that you won’t find anywhere else.

Nila Mezza Food

NEW for 2025, is Nila Mezza Food, which serves fresh falafel, snacks, salads and wraps cooked to order by Chef Darwish. Nestled between Anne’s Florist and Café Villa Dei Fiori, it’s the perfect lunch spot for vegans, vegetarians and those that love falafel. Top choices include the halloumi and avocado wrap, baba ganoush, and the moreish batata harra.

And don’t just take our word for it – check out the reviews. According to Noel Park Local, Nila Mezza Food offers “the best vegan and vegetarian eats in the neighbourhood.” They added: “If you're in Wood Green, Nila Mezza Food (Unit 9) at the Market Hall is the go-to for fresh, homemade falafel and healthy wraps!”

Enough said…

VDF - Café Villa Dei Fiori

Run by husband-and-wife team, Amin and Jana, the couple took over this much-loved business in 2022 when the previous owner retired. They rebranded as VDF and have quickly taken the café to new heights.

A highly rated spot for breakfast and brunch (just ask The Mall team), Amin’s Breakfast, which features freshly cooked bacon, beans, egg, hash browns, mushrooms, sausage and tomato, is a real fan favourite.

Patrons particularly enjoy building their own breakfasts (no combination is off limits) and savouring classic offerings such as chilli con carne and spaghetti Bolognese.

For those that like a traditional British touch, the fish and chips come highly recommended. The menu also features a wide range of sandwiches and burgers, with the fried chicken burger proving a popular choice.

If you fancy ditching your packed lunch, a meal at VDF will keep you going until dinnertime!

Mauritius Paradise

Ever tried Mauritian cuisine? Bring some sunshine to your lunch with a serving of award-winning street food.

Established in 2008 by Anusha Lutchmiah and her husband Kevin, customers come from all over the UK to sample their speciality dishes. A self-trained chef, Anusha learnt the art of Mauritian cooking from her mother, who used to run a restaurant in Mauritius.

For Halal food that’s freshly cooked every day and made with love (and lots of fresh spices), Mauritius Paradise should be at the top of your list. Our favourite dishes include the roti with chickpea curry and chutneys (cheap as chips and much more healthy!) the fried rice and the lentil soup. Fancy something special? The Bol Renverse (Upside Down Bowl) is a layered rice dish with oyster sauce, garlic and soy sauce, topped with a sunny-side-up egg and served with tomato chutney and chilli.

DJ’s Burger Bar & Grill

Owned and run by the Djevat family for over 30 years, DJ’s Café is a real Market Hall institution. With décor inspired by classic American highway stops and rock 'n' roll legends, and a dedicated customer base of loyal locals, DJ’s provides a unique dining experience.

With a value-for-money menu boasting an array of mouth-watering burgers and customisable breakfast options, DJ's caters for a wide variety of tastes, so whatever you’re craving, there will be a dish for you. Highlights include the all-day breakfast, burgers, lasagne, shepherd’s pie, chicken curry and lamb kebabs – we’re talking serious comfort food here!
